Very recent (2011) research shows that the actual 1776 Mission building could have been anywhere in the area, including where the Mission is now.

The bronze plaques a couple blocks away (your reference) at Albion and Camp Streets are sadly wrong.

San Francisco is 35% Asian and the school district has probably a higher percentage of Asian students. You were not in an Asian neighborhood nor near a school that would attract a higher percentage of Asians. You were in San Francisco!

Most San Francisco students go to and from school on the public bus. School buses are reserved for children with special needs.

I was riding the bus from the Mason Fort to Ghirardelli Square around 3pm. Each bus stop was packed with only Asian school children. I'm from DC and never seen this before and was surprised by their large numbers. Is this an Asian neighborhood or was it a special Asian school? Does the city have school buses for them? The bus was already too crowded and skipped each stop they were waiting at.

The confusion comes from the fact that the full house intro changed throughout the season. In the early seasons, the 1709 Broderick shot is used, but later, when it shows the family sitting at a picnic in front of the Victorian houses, those are the "painted ladies" at Alamo square.

Great article and comments all. It's clear we all have a love (or interest) in a warm family show that brought us all together years ago.

Thomas I too have been told the opening montage is a combination of b-roll from various parks, including the one I live by, Duboce Park.

Even if it's not true I'm claiming so. Don't take this little piece of Full House away from me. :)

Michael you make no sense, I have you tubed the intro to full house and compared the google street view of this house and they are the same.

The park shown is a combination of parks not just or limited to Alamo park. I figured this out by the soccer scene and cars passing by have no obstruction of a wall, hill or houses in the background that Alamo park has.

Thanks Rick for the address as the Wiki for Full House was wrong also stating the Painted ladies was the Full House house

Thanks for the great advice about Oakland, Rick! I have seen an increasing about of dining establishments going into this area. And, as you already mentioned, with a better value. People should keep on their radar screen ... what a great view of San Francisco from the Oakland Port.
